Under the hood
"Isn't this just a DataForSEO wrapper?"
Fair question, and the honest answer is no. DataForSEO is one input into a much larger system. Here is what sits around it.
Multiple data sources
DataForSEO, Google Search Console, Slack and external webhooks, not a single API.
Its own domain model
Projects, keywords, configurations, tracking history, competitors, notes and billing all live in the app. This is not API forwarding.
Real business logic
- Team and permission management (row-level security policies, project access)
- Wallet and credit system (per-check costs, budget tracking)
- Scheduling (daily to quarterly checks, report sends)
- SERP snapshots and history (caching, deduping)
Features that do not come from DataForSEO
- Competitor head-to-head matrix
- SERP feature timeline (since and gone tracking)
- AI Overview stats aggregation
- Content ideas from related searches
- Emoji suggestions
Platform integrations
Slack slash-commands, email reports, Google sign-in and Stripe payments.
Data transformation
The app stores, caches, aggregates and reshapes DataForSEO responses into new insight, for example which AI Overview trends actually matter for your keywords.
A wrapper would be: call one endpoint, format the JSON, return it. This orchestrates checks, aggregates SERP data, tracks rivals, caches mentions, sends Slack updates and manages billing. DataForSEO is one input in a much bigger system.
